Seal the Deal is delighted to honour our partners who have joined us by driving petition signatures and encouraging people to be part of this massive global effort to combat climate change.

It is only by demonstrating the support of millions of people around the world that we can hope to encourage governments to seal the seal on a fair, balanced and affective climate agreement.alt

For purposes of transparency, the following groups have contributed significant amounts of petition signatures from their own websites and donated them to the campaign:

  • Vattenfall Energy Company - 244,000 signatures
  • World Vision International, also known as Youth Decide – 36,531
  • Buddhist Declaration on Climate Change including the Dalai Lama - 5,339

Under the auspices of the Pan African Climate Justice Alliance (PACJA), African CSOs mobilized people for the petition using Seal the Deal! cards.title

Confirmed signed cards include:
  • Wildlife Clubs of Kenya – 4,000
  • Green Africa Foundation – 1,500
  • ACT – 939

Deutsche Post DHL, the official logistics partner of COP15, asks political leaders to Seal the Deal in Copenhagen. With the initiative CEO Frank Appel and employees worldwide show commitment to the company’s climate protection program GoGreen and support a global agreement to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

The Seal the Deal petition is also presented on www.hopenhagen.org

We are working with civil society and NGOs to aggregate petitions around the world to present a communal unified voice at the meeting in Copenhagen.

We are indebted to the hundreds of individuals, companies, enterprises, schools and community groups that have supported and continue to support the campaign, by donating time, money, adding the logo to their site and mobilizing their communities.
