Canadian Youth Seal the Deal! at Canada’s largest youth environmental gathering
The Seal the Deal! campaign left its mark at the Youth Environmental Summit, Canada’s largest ever youth gathering on climate change in the country’s history.
More than 1,000 young people from every Canadian province gathered in Ottawa between 23-26 October for three days of action, lobbying and workshops.
UNEP informed participants about the campaign by holding two workshops on how to get involved in the campaign.
In addition to the young people who came to speak out about the issue of climate change, better known personalities in attendance (e.g. Majora Carter, Founder of Sustainable South Bronx and Amber Church, National Director of the Canadian Youth Climate Coalition) also sent a clear message to governments that the time to act is now.
